BAF is the largest Irish specialist Industrial Refrigeration and HVAC contracting company and has more than 50years experience in refrigeration service and maintenance. Proactively maintaining a refrigeration plant is essential to help reduce longterm costs, maximising efficiency, minimising and potential plant downtime and ensuring stability of supply and peace of mind for the end-users production process.

We have a specialized, experienced and highly trained service team who are dedicated to the provision of services to our clientele.The retention of our long-standing customers and significant growth in additional clients is testament to our quality services and the pride we attain in providing such standards. We provide this service and support on a 24/7/365 Nationwide coverage basis. BAF are active primarily in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Food/Beverage, Temp controlled Storage and Dairy/Meat industries but we have many additional clients in additional sectors to whom we serve also.

Pre-planning of asset management activites such as service engineer allocation, time scheduling to client site requirements, H&S requirements and procedures, regulatory procedures, maximising of energy efficiency for high and low plant demands, integration with site shutdowns and co-ordination of contractors enable a steady and consistent level of service.

The scheduling of such work is managed via the BAF central Equipment Register, which is used to record and prompt component overhauls. It is also used to schedule BAF parts procurement to ensure that the necessary parts are available when required. BAF engineers are certified to overhaul screw, centrifugal and piston compressors.

Dedicated service engineers knowledgeable to the specific client site equipment ensure the best level of site familiarity and continuity. Plant performance is inspected, monitored and upgrades or adjustments made to ensure maximum efficiency and reduce potential for equipment downtime. A relevant operating log and maintenance checklist is a necessary tool to analyse developing trends and to record and prompt maintenance inspections.

With a team of over 25 mobile engineers located Nationwide, and a service office co-ordinating same, BAF have ensured a high quality service standard. Daytime callouts can be received to our office via phone or email, All other out of hours and weekend/holiday calls can be made direct to our assigned site engineers and/or to our service management team to ensure a rapid and reliable response.

With high dependency sites BAF will have pre-agreed SLA’s with clients which will include a list of critical Spare Parts which the client may hold on site to enable a quick return to plant quickly to operation. In the event this is not immediately available, spare parts can be sourced quickly either from the engineers own van stocks, via our spare parts dept or via our extensive network of suppliers.

It is inevitable due to wear & tear, age or plants expanding and evolving capacity requirements that parts break or need replacing. A proficient and proactive Spare parts Dept. is key to maintaining Industrial Refrigeration/HVAC equipment. In order to prevent or reduce equipment downtime BAF have built up a vast and reliable network of component suppliers over 50 years and can utilize this to provide rapid delivery of key items when and as needed. We have a highly reliable and experienced Purchasing team who are able to quickly and accurately determine the correct items and best method for sourcing parts and getting them to the client. Additional technical assistance is available when and where required from our technical and design teams. This can aid our engineers to get plants back functioning fully and minimise breakdown durations.

Our Spare parts team liaise with the service team to ensure any Critical spare parts used by engineers are immediately topped up and on-going assessment and recommendations from engineers are thoroughly followed up and actioned upon.

Brian A Flynn Ltd. is committed to providing appropriate health and safety training for all employees applicable to their function within the organization. This training will begin with induction training on commencement of employment. The purpose of induction training is to ensure that new employees fully understand the potential hazards of their respective work activity and the safety precautions and emergency preparedness required.

The profile of training in occupational health and safety is necessary, not only because of increased legislative requirements, but for other reasons also. Training is now recognized as resulting in increased productivity, safety awareness and reduced accident rates.

Failure to provide adequate health and safety training is a breach of the law. Employers have a general requirement to provide suitable and sufficient health and safety training under the relevant safety legislation and codes of practice. Specific training requirements associated with a specific hazard may also be detailed in individual pieces of legislation.

In addition to Health and Safety training Brian A. Flynn Ltd. is committed to ensuring that all staff in the organization receive the highest degree of skills training so as to perform their duties effectively. Brian A. Flynn Ltd service engineers are exposed to a training program which ensures that amongst other skills they are certified by OEMs to carry out compressor overhauls, configure and troubleshoot control systems and plant, act as site supervisors and provide first aid expertise on site.

Brian A. Flynn Ltd also recognize that training and technical information for the end user is absolutely necessary so as to maximize their knowledge and understanding of the refrigeration plant.

Documentation seldom keeps pace as plants evolve and are upgraded or replaced. BAF offer a service whereby documents and drawings are produced to reflect the as-built status of the plant. This can be important in assessing spare parts needs, in facilitating the analysis of future modifications and assist troubleshooting.
