Case Study Overview
BAF are very proud of the delivery of specialist Atex Ammonia Dowtherm Chiller. Chiller designed for Evaporating at -29°C and capacity of 630kW.
This is the 3rd unit we have provided using this unique customised thermosyphon evaporator.
The evaporator is a low charge design with the ammonia in the tubes and dowtherm in the shell. To combat any water contamination putting the dowtherm through the shell provides a larger cross sectional area of flow that prevents flow restriction and blockages.
As always the Sabroe Chiller undergoes full load testing at the Factory, and this bespoke unit is designed to be split into 3 large sections for ease of installation on restricted access points.
